Energy certification of buildings
The Energy Certificate of Buildings is a document that includes all reference data available to consumers in order to evaluate and compare performance — as well as recommendations for improvements in terms of costs-benefits.
European Directive 2002/91/CE has focused attention on Energy certification of buildings, considering it an effective instrument to jump start a quality building market from the energy point of view
CREA is accredited with the Emilia Romagna region under no. 00559 (decision no. 1050/2008) for Energy certification of buildings and has the qualified technicians needed to determine energy performance.
CREA has arranged support and services to evaluate the energy efficiency of buildings and to highlight the actions needed to improve energy performance.
Goals
The goal is to improve building market transparency, providing builders, purchasers and renters with objective, transparent information on the energy characteristics and costs.
An additional goal is to raise building owner awareness of energy costs related to the operation of their "building system", encouraging them to implement actions aimed at improving the energy efficiency of their buildings.
